Another Powerful Read

Reading the books for each season allow you to relive the season and think through the details that you saw on the screen. More than that, it lets you slow down and relive those moments with contemplative discernment. As with all things "The Chosen" - it is quality, it is purposeful, and it is necessary.

If you've seen it, no need to read it.

I recently purchased all 4 Novels of the 1st 4 Seasons of The Chosen. Having already seen all of the 4 Season Episodes, I was hoping that these Novels would go deeper into the backgrounds, inner thought life, and other interactions between each character and Jesus and also between each other as His Chosen followers.

These books follow the videos almost exactly. So if you haven't seen them, this will be an enjoyable read. But, if you have seen the episode videos, then you may as well have read these books. In my opinion, there's no real new nuggets to glean from reading the books, that aren't already covered in the videos.

But, if you don't have access to watch the videos, the Novels are a great alternative.
